HMS Valiant (1759)  (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Valiant was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 10-Aug-1759, 171ft 6in long, 49ft 6in wide and of 1,779 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from Nov-1799.

Broken up at Sheerness Apr-1826.

Won the Battle Honours: Belle Isle 1761, Havana 1762, Ushant 1781, The Saints 1782, First of June 1794 and Groix Island 1795.
