HMS Prince of Wales (1794)  (3rd)
2nd Rate 98-gun 

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Prince of Wales was a second rate, 98-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 28-Jun-1794 after having spent 10 years on the stocks. 182ft long, 51ft wide and of 2,010 tons builders measurement.

Fought at the battle of Trafalgar where she sustained light damage, with none of her crew killed or wounded. (see: Fleets after the Battle).

Broken up Dec-1822 at Portsmouth.

Won the Battle Honour: Groix Island 1795.
