This the second ship to carry the name HMS Prince of Wales was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Bird and Fisher of Milford Haven, launched 04-Jun-1765, 170ft long, 47ft wide, and of 1,623 tons builders measurement.

Broken up Aug-1783 at Plymouth.

Won the Battle Honour: St. Lucia 1778.
