This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Porpoise was a 10-gun, storeship.

Originally a Spanish sloop (Infanta Amelia) captured 06-Aug-1799 by HMS Argo off Portugal.308ft long, 28ft wide and of 308 tons builders measurement. Armed with 10 x 6pdr guns.

Wrecked 17-Aug-1799 on a coral reef off the coast of New South Wales.
