This the third ship to carry the name HMS Porpoise was a
storeship. Built by Hill of Deptford, launched 16-May-1798, 96ft long, 28ft wide and of 324 tons builders measurement. Renamed HMS Diligent 05-Jan-1801. Sold 1802.
