HMS Hastings (1819)  (5th)
3rd Rate 74-gun

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Hastings was a third rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Originally an East India, bought at Calcutta 22-Jun-1819, 177ft long, 48ft 6in wide and of 1,763 tons builders measurement.

Conversion to a screw ship at Portsmouth completed 05-Feb-1855.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Used as a coal hulk from 1870.

Sold Sep-1885.
