This the first ship to carry the name HMS Hastings was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built by Ellis of Shoreham, launched 05-Feb-1695, 109ft long, 28ft 6in wide and of 384 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 1697 off Waterford.
