The second Gloucester was a fourth rate, 60-gun ship.
Built by Clements of Bristol, launched 05-Feb-1695, 145ft long, 37ft 6in wide and of 896 tons builders measurement. She had a useful but relatively undistinguished career, becoming a storage hulk at Deptford in 1706 without being involved in anything more exciting than a passage across the Atlantic under Admiral Benbow with instructions to keep a sharp look out for the notorious pirate Captain Kidd. Broken up Oct-1731.
