This the first ship to carry the name HMS Centurion was a 34-gun ship.

Built by Pett of Ratcliffe, launched 1650 and of 531 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked off Plymouth 25-Dec-1698.

Won the Battle Honours: Dover 1652, Portland 1653, Gabbard 1653, Scheveningen 1653, Santa Cruz 1657, Lowestoft 1665, Four Days' Battle 1666 and Orfordness 1666.
