This the third ship to carry the name HMS Actaeon was a fifth rate, 44-gun, ship.

Built by Randall of Rotherhithe, launched 29-Jan-1778, 140ft long, 38ft wide and of 887 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from Jul-1795.

Sold 30-Apr-1802.
