This the first ship to carry the name HMS Actaeon was a fir-built,  sixth rate, 28-gun, ship.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 30-Sep-1757, 118ft long, 34ft wide and of 595 tons builders measurement.

Sold 09-Sep-1766 as unserviceable.

Won the Battle Honour: Belle Isle 1761.
