This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Actaeon was a sixth rate, 26-gun, ship.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 31-Jan-1831, 121ft 6in long, 34ft 6in wide and of 620 tons builders measurement.

Used as a survey ship from 1856.

Loaned to the Cork Harbour Board as a hulk Feb-1870.

Sold Feb-1889.

Won the Battle Honour: China 1856-60.
