This the second ship to carry the name HMS Actaeon was a sixth rate, 28-gun, ship.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 18-Apr-1775, 120ft 6in long, 33ft 6in wide and of 594 tons builders measurement.

Grounded and burned at Charlestown 29-Jun-1776.
