HMS Swiftsure (1750)  (4th)
3rd Rate 68-gun 

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Swiftsure was a third rate, two deck, 68-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, ordered 31-Aug-1745, keel laid 26-Jan-1747, launched 25-May-1750, 160ft long, 45ft wide 19ft 4in deep in the hold, and of 1,414 56/94 tons builders measurement.

She was later classified as a 64-gun, and had a complement of 520 men.

Her standard armament was 26 x 32pdr, 28 x 18pdr, and 14 x 9pdr guns.

Sold 02-Jun-1773.

Won the Battle Honour: Lagos 1759, Quiberon Bay 1759 and Belle Isle 1761.
