This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Porcupine was a wooden paddle vessel.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 17-Jun-1844, 141ft long, 24ft wide and of 382 tons builders measurement.

Sold 1883.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
