Wooden Screw Gunboat 4-gun

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Earnest was an Albacore class, 4 gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built by Patterson of Bristol, laid down 15-Oct-1855, launched 29-Mar-1856 and completed later that year.

On completion went into reserve.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Sold 17-Jan-1885 for breaking up.
