HMS Colossus (1787)  (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Colossus was a third rate, 74-gun, ship of the line.

Built by Cleveley of Gravesend, launched 04-Apr-1787, 172ft long, 48ft wide and of 1,703 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 10-Dec-1798 Isles of Scilly.

Won the Battle Honours: Groix Island 1795 and St. Vincent 1797.
