This the second ship to carry the name HMS Cheerful was a 3 gun, wooden screw gunboat, the name ship of a class of 20 ships.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, laid down 02-Jul-1855, launched 06-Oct-1855 and completed 11-Dec-1855.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Breaking up completed by 06-Oct-1869.
