Wooden Screw Gunboat 4-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Charger was an Albacore class, 4-gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built by Pitcher of Northfleet, laid down 09-Aug-1855, launched 13-Nov-1855 and completed 24-Jan-1856.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Used as a Buoy boat from Jun-1866 at Halifax and renamed YC3 24-Jun-1866. Renamed YC6 in 1869.

Sold Jul-1887 and renamed Rescue.

Broken up 1921.
