HMS Ajax (1913) BB  (6th)

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Ajax was one of four King Gorge V Class battleships.

Built by Scotts, laid down Feb-1911, launched 21-Mar-1912 and completed in Mar-1913.

She served first with the Home Fleet from 1913-14. Then with the Grand Fleet for the duration of the war. Was in action at Jutland but sustained no damage.

After the war moved to the Mediterranean from 1919-24, which included operations in the Black Sea. 

Went into Reserve from 1924-26.

Sold Nov-1926 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honour: Jutland 1916.
