HMS Ajax (1809)  (3rd)
3rd Rate 74-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Ajax was a third rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built by Perry of Blackwall, launched 02-May-1809, 176ft long, 48ft 6in wide and of 1,761 tons builders measurement.

Conversion to a screw ship completed 1846.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1853 and the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Broken up 1864.

Won the Battle Honours: San Sebastian 1813 and Baltic 1854-55.
