This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Violet was an
Albacore class, 4 gun, wooden screw gunboat. Built by Ditchburn & Mare of Blackwall, laid down 01-Jun-1856, launched 09-Jan-1856 and completed 18-Mar-1856. Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856. Sold 07-Oct-1864 for breaking up.
