5th Rate 32-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Thames was a 5th rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built by Adams of Buckler's Hard, launched 127ft long, 34ft 6in wide and of 656 tons builders measurement.

Captured by the French from 24-Oct-1793 until 07-Jun-1796 when she was renamed Tamise.

Broken up Sep-1803.

Won the Battle Honour: Gut of Gibraltar 1801.
