HMS Queen (1904) BB  (5th)

This the fifth ship to carry the name Queen was one of five London Class battleships.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, laid down in March-1901, launched 08-Mar-1902 and completed March-1904.

Initial service was with the Mediterranean Fleet from 1904-08, after which refit at Devonport followed. Then to the Home Fleet until 1912 when she joined the 5th Battle Squadron from 1912-14.

She joined the Dardanelles force in early 1915, then joined the Italian Fleet in May 1915.
She remained as a base ship at Taranto until the end of the war.

Sold 04-Nov-1920 and arrived 05-Aug-1921 at Birkenhead for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honour: Dardanelles 1915.
