HMS Prince George (1701)  (1st)
2nd Rate 90-gun 

    
This the first HMS Prince George was rebuilt at Chatham Dockyard from HMS Duke (1682). She emerged from the rebuild as a second rate, three deck, 90-gun ship-of-the-line.

Renamed HMS Prince George, launched 03-Dec-1701, 162ft 10in long on the deck, 131ft 6in long at the keel, 45ft 1in wide, 18ft 7in depth in the hold and of 1,421 tons builders measurement (bm).

She had an establishment of 90-guns and 680 men.

Rebuilt at Deptford 1723 with an increase in tonnage to  1,586 tons bm.

Burnt by accident at sea 13-Apr-1758.

Won the Battle Honours: Velez Malaga 1704 and Finisterre 1747.
