HMS Plymouth (1961) FF  (9th)

    
This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Plymouth was a Type 12 Rothesay Class, anti-submarine frigate.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 20-Jul-1959, commissioned 11-May-1961.

Appeared at the Silver Jubilee Review 1977.

Paid off 30-Apr-1988.Used as a museum ship at Plymouth 1988 1990.

Transferred to the Warship Preservation Trust 20-Apr-1990. Moved to Glasgow from 1990 to 1992, then to Birkenhead, Liverpool, 1992.

Won the Battle Honour: Falkland Islands 1982.
