This the second ship to carry the name HMS Minerva was a 38-gun, fifth Rate, ship.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 03-Jun-1780, 141ft long, 39ft wide and of 941 tons builders measurement.

Renamed HMS Pallas 1798 and used as a troopship.

Broken up Mar-1803
