This the third ship to carry the name HMS Lowestoft was a Type 12 Rothesay Class, anti-submarine frigate.

Built by Stephen, launched 23-Jun-1960, commissioned 26-Sep-1961.

Decommissioned 1985.

Sunk as a target off Bahamas 08-Jun-1986.
