HMS Laforey (1914) DD  (1st)

     
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Laforey was the name ship of a class of twenty destroyers.

Built by Fairfield, laid down 09-Sep-1912, launched 22-Aug-1913 as HMS Florizel renamed 30-Sep-1913, and completed Feb-1914.

Sunk 23-Mar-1917 by a British mine in the English Channel.

Won the Battle Honours: Heligoland 1914, Dogger Bank 1915 and Dardanelles 1915-16.
