HMS King George V (1912) BB  (1st)

    
This the first King George V to serve with the Royal Navy was the name ship of a Class of four battleships.

She was built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 09-Oct-1911 and completed in Nov-1912. Originally to be named HMS Royal George she was renamed 1910.

She served with the Home Fleet from 1912-14, then with the Grand Fleet for the entire war. In action at Jutland she sustained no damage. After WW1 she moved to the Mediterranean Fleet as Flagship from 1919-23. After which she went into Reserve.

Sold in 1926 and arrived at Rosyth for breaking up Jan-1927.

Won the Battle Honour: Jutland 1916.
