This the first ship to carry the name HMS Intrepid was a third rate, 64-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Originally French (Serieux), captured 03-May-1747 Cape Finisterre, 152ft long, 44ft wide and of 1,300 tons builders measurement.

Breaking up completed by 02-Aug-1765 at Chatham.

Won the Battle Honours: Lagos 1759, Quiberon Bay 1759 and Havana 1762.
