HMS Dorsetshire (1694) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Dorsetshire was a
third rate, 80-gun, ship-of-the-line. Built by Winters of Southampton, launched 08-Dec-1694, 153ft 6in long, 42ft wide and of 1,176 tons builders measurement (bm). Rebuilt at Portsmouth 1712 as 1,283 tons bm. Sold 1749. Won the Battle Honours: Gibraltar 1704, Velez Malaga 1704, and Passero 1718.
