This the second ship to carry the name HMS Diomede was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 17-Jan-1798, 151ft long, 41ft wide and of 1,123 tons builders measurement.

Sold Aug-1815.

Won the Battle Honours: Cape of Good Hope 1806.
