This the second ship to carry the name HMS Cumberland was a third rate 80-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 1710, 156ft long, 44ft wide and of 1,308 tons builders measurement.

Rebuilt at Woolwich Dockyard 1739 as 66-guns, and 1,401 tons builders measurement.

Foundered at anchor 02-Nov-1760 at Goa.

Won the Battle Honours: Sadras 1758, Negapatam 1758, and Porto Novo 1759.
