HMS Cadiz (1946) DD  (2nd)

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Cadiz was a Battle Class (1944) destroyer.

Built by Fairfield, laid down 10-May-1943, launched 16-Sep-1944 and commissioned 12-Apr-1946.

Did not see active service during WW2 and joined the Home Fleet 1947.

Appeared at the Coronation Review 1953.

Put into reserve later in 1953.

Sold to Pakistan 01-Feb-1957 and renamed Khaibar.

Sunk on the night of 4/5-Dec-1971 by Styx missiles fired by Indian Osa Class fast patrol boats off Karachi.
