This the second ship to carry the name HMS Barfleur was a second rate, 98-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 30-Jul-1768, 178ft long, 50ft 6in wide and of 1,947 tons builders measurement.

Broken up at Chatham Sep-1819.

Won the Battle Honours: St. Kitts 1782, The Saints 1782, First of June 1794, Groix Island 1795 and St Vincent 1797.
