HMS Ambuscade (1746) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Ambuscade was a
fifth rate, 40-gun, ship. Originally French, (Embuscade), captured 21-Apr-1746, 132ft 6in long, 36ft wide, and of 740 tons builders measurement. Sold 09-Feb-1762. Won the Battle Honours: Finisterre 1747 and Lagos 1759.
