This the third ship to carry the name HMS Alacrity was a wooden screw sloop.

Built by Mare of Blackwall, launched 20-Mar-1856, 180ft 6in long, 28ft 6in wide, and of 675 tons builders measurement.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Sold 07-Oct-1864.
