HMS Vigo (1946) DD  (4th)

     
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Vigo was a Battle Class (1944), destroyer.

Built by Fairfield, laid down 11-Sep-1943, launched 27-Sep-1945, and commissioned 09-Dec-1946.

On commissioning went into reserve. Reactivated 1949 to go into the Mediterranean. Returned to the UK 1954 to become Gunnery raining Ship at Portsmouth.

Decommissioned 01-Oct-1959.

Arrived at Faslane for breaking up 06-Dec-1964.
