This the second ship to carry the name HMS Vigilant was a third rate, 64-gun ship of the line.

Built by Adams of Bucklers Hard, launched 06-Oct-1774, 159ft 6in long, 44ft 6in wide and of 1,347 tons builders measurement.

Used as a prison ship from 1799.

Foundered Jan-1806 in Portsmouth Harbour.

Raised Apr-1806.

Broken up Apr-1816.
