This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Torbay was a Triton Class submarine.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 09-Apr-1940, commissioned 14-Jan-1941.

Sold 19-Dec-1945 and broken up by Ward of Briton Ferry.

Won the Battle Honours: Mediterranean 1941-43, Arctic 1942-43, Sicily 1943, Aegean 1943, Atlantic 1944, English Channel 1944 and Malaya 1945.
