HMS Thunderer (1783)  (3rd)
3rd Rate 74-gun 

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Thunderer was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Wells of Rotherhithe, launched 13-Nov-1783, 171ft long, 47ft 6in wide and of 1,690 tons builders measurement.

Fought at the battle of Trafalgar where she suffered light damage with 4 of her crew killed and 12 wounded. (see: Fleets after the Battle).

Broken up Mar-1814.

Won the Battle Honours: First of June 1794, St. Lucia 1796 and Trafalgar 1805.
