HMS Sluys (1946) DD  (1st)

This the only ship to carry the name HMS Sluys was a Battle Class (1944), destroyer.

Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 24-Nov-1943, launched 28-Feb-1945 and commissioned 30-Sep-1946.

Did not see active service during WW2. and remained in service after the war.

On completion joined the Home Fleet. Decommissioned and went into reserve 1953.

Sold to Iran 26-Jan-1967 and renamed Artemiz.
