This the third ship to carry the name HMS Severn was a fifth rate, 44-gun, ship.

Built by Hillhouse of Bristol, launched 29-Apr-1786, 140ft long, 38ft 6in wide and of 904 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 21-Dec-1804 at the Channel Islands.
