This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Pearl was a 20-gun,
sloop. Built by Sainty of Wivenhoe, launched 17-Mar-1828, 119ft long, 33ft 6in wide and of 558 tons builders measurement. Broken up Jun-1851.
