HMS Neptune (1911) BB  (7th)

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Neptune was a single ship class of battleship.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard HMS Neptune was laid down in Jan-1909, and completed in Jan-1911.

She was originally named Foudroyant and changed to Neptune 1909, during construction.

She served with the Home Fleet 1911-14, including a spell as Flagship. Then spent the remainder of WW! with the Grand Fleet. Was in action at Jutland but sustained no damage.

Went into Reserve 1919 and sold 1922.

Won the Battle Honour: Jutland 1916.
