This the second ship to carry the name HMS Naiad was a fifth rate, 38-gun, ship.

Built by Hill of Limehouse, launched 27-Feb-1797, 147ft long, 40ft wide and of 1,020 tons builders measurement.

Used as a coal depot at Callao, Peru from Jan-1847.

Sold 02-Feb-1866 to the Pacific Steam Navigation Co as a coal depot.

Won the Battle Honour: Trafalgar 1805.
