HMS Minotaur (1793)  (1st)
3rd Rate 74-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Minotaur was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 06-Nov-1793, 172ft 6in long, 48ft wide and of 1,723 tons builders measurement.

She fought at Trafalgar where she suffered  light damage, with three of her crew killed and twenty injured. (see: Fleets after the Battle).

Wrecked 22-Dec-1810 off Texel.

Won the Battle Honours: Nile 1798, Egypt 1801 and Trafalgar 1805.
