Wooden Floating Battery 14-gun

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Meteor was a 14-gun, wooden floating battery.

Built by Mare of Blackwall, launched 17-Apr-1855, 172ft 6in long, 44ft wide and of 1,469 tons builders measurement. Armed with 14 x 68pdr guns.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Broken up 1861.

Won the Battle Honour: Crimea 1855.
