This the third ship to carry the name HMS Meteor was a bomb vessel.

Originally HMS Starr, an 18-gun, sloop. Built by Tanner of Dartmouth, launched 26-Jul-1805, 106ft long, 28ft wide and of 371 tons builders measurement.

Renamed HMS Meteor, 1812 and converted to a bomb vessel.

Sold 16-Oct-1816.
